We're not your typical architecture firm - and honestly, that's kinda the point.
Back in 2012, three architects walked out of corporate firms tired of seeing great ideas get watered down. We wanted to build things that'd still matter in 50 years, not just look pretty in marketing brochures.
Started in a cramped Queen West loft with one decent coffee maker and way too much optimism. Thirteen years later, we're still here - bigger team, better coffee, same stubborn belief that buildings should give back more than they take.
The milestones that shaped who we've become
Founded with three partners and one shared desk. First project was a residential renovation that taught us everything about listening to what people actually need.
Completed our first LEED Platinum building. Client thought we were crazy with some sustainability ideas - turned out we were just early to the party.
Won the Toronto Urban Planning Award. Started working on mixed-use developments that actually integrate with existing neighborhoods instead of steamrolling them.
Team of 24 passionate designers, engineers, and dreamers. Working on projects that'll hopefully make our kids proud when they're grown.
The folks who turn sketches into reality
Founding Principal & Lead Designer
Started sketching buildings at 8 years old and never really stopped. Specializes in making sustainable design feel effortless. Won't compromise on energy efficiency but somehow makes it look sexy.
Urban Planning Director
Former city planner who got tired of bureaucracy slowing good ideas. Believes every building owes something to its neighborhood. Known for convincing zoning committees through sheer persistence and detailed presentations.
Heritage Restoration Specialist
Joined us in 2016 after saving three heritage buildings from demolition. Has an uncanny ability to blend old and new without making it look forced. Obsessed with original brickwork and authentic materials.
Interior Space Planning Lead
Thinks about how people actually move through spaces, not just how they look in photos. Previously designed retail environments, which taught him that flow matters more than fancy finishes.
Structural Engineering Consultant
The person who tells us if our wild ideas will actually stand up. Has saved countless designs from engineering disasters while keeping the vision intact. Loves a good challenge and hates boring boxes.
Junior Designer & BIM Specialist
Fresh perspective with killer tech skills. Dragged us into the 21st century with BIM and 3D visualization. Constantly pushing for more experimental materials and construction methods that make us nervous but excited.
Not just slapping solar panels on roofs and calling it green. We're talking passive design, lifecycle thinking, material sourcing that makes sense. Buildings that actually reduce their footprint.
Every project affects real people living real lives. We spend time understanding neighborhoods before designing anything. Sometimes the best solution isn't the flashiest one.
Materials should look like what they are. Spaces should function how they appear. No fake facades or design tricks that prioritize photos over usability.
We're designing for decades, not just opening day. Adaptability matters. Maintenance matters. How it'll age matters more than how it photographs.
"We build like we're gonna have to explain our choices to future generations."
Let's grab coffee and talk about what you're trying to build. No pressure, just conversation.
